It is with pleasure that we welcome Dominic Wolsey, our new Programme Manager!
Dominic has experience in the mine action, international development, and commercial risk analysis sectors in the UK, Southeast Asia, and Somalia. Most recently, he worked as Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at the London School of Economics’ International Growth Centre, focusing on the application of economic research in low and middle income countries.
Prior to this he worked for The HALO Trust in Somalia on a demining programme and with Agence d’Aide a la Coopération Technique et au Développement (ACTED) in Southeast Asia, working with refugees from Myanmar living in Northern Thailand. Dominic has also worked for the British Council on women’s empowerment, for Save the Children, and as a political and security risk analyst for leading commercial risk analysis companies. Dominic holds an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he focused on identity politics and human security, and a BA in History from University College London.
As GMAP Programme Manager, he aims to promote inclusivity in the mine action sector and ensure that gender and diversity are at the centre of mine action interventions, both to facilitate the equitable distribution of benefits and to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of programmes on the ground.
