As of 1 March 2019, the Gender and Mine Action Programme (GMAP) will integrate into the GICHD. This means that gender and diversity considerations will be streamlined into the knowledge generated and disseminated by the GICHD, including the advice and technical assistance it provides. The specialised support that GMAP has historically provided will not just continue but will be enhanced. After a decade of working closely together, this integration is timely, as Gender Equality and Inclusion is one of the four strategic outcomes of the 2019-2022 GICHD strategy.
