During the 2018 Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, Canada officially announced its financial commitment over 3 years to support the implementation of the Mine Ban Treaty and the Convention on Cluster Munitions. GMAP is excited to announce that it will be part of the receiving end of this commitment, becoming GMAP’s biggest donor.

Thanks to Canada, GMAP will be able to work towards outcomes aimed at increasing gender equality in mine action and broader disarmament over the next three years. GMAP is grateful to be able to participate and advance Canada’s vision of a feminist approach to disarmament. We look forward to sharing with you updates on the activities we will soon start to work on!
